1933 - 2014 Obituary Condolences

Romelia Sandoval Montoya, 81, passed away on Sept. 29, 2014, in Alamogordo. She was born on Jan. 3, 1933, in El Paso, Texas, to Jesus and Luz (Baeza) Sandoval.

Survivors include four sons: Manuel R. and Susan Montoya of Spring Branch, Texas; Ralph S. Montoya of Alamogordo; Raymond S. and Rosemary Montoya of Alamogordo; Miguel R. and Melinda Montoya of San Antonio, Texas; daughter, Mary Jane Roman of Alamogordo; a sister, Delia Hidalgo, of El Paso, Texas; 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Manuel S. Montoya, and her son, Joseph S. Montoya.

Rosary will be recited by Toni Gutierrez at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 9, 2014, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Mass of the resurrection will be celebrated after the rosary at 11 a.m., with Father Mike Lindsay acting as celebrant.

Burial will follow at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers include her grandchildren - Joseph Montoya, Roman Montoya, Augustine Montoya, Sara Roman, Sonya Roman, Amparo Montoya, Genevieve Montoya, Nicole Molinar and Robert Montoya. Honorary pallbearers include Ayden Montoya, Mikala Montoya, Malia Montoya and John Paul Montoya.

The Montoya family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct funeral services.
