Ronald Wayne Davies Obituary
Senior master sergeant, U.S.A.F., retired
Ronald Wayne Davies, 65, passed away Friday, Jan. 29, 2010, in Alamogordo.
He was born May 22, 1944, in Jacksonville, Fla., to John Joseph and Virginia Louise (Baker) Davies.
He retired at Holloman Air Force Base from the United States Air Force as a senior master sergeant after 27 years of service, having served in Vietnam and Operation Desert Shield. After retirement he worked at Sammons for 11 years. He loved children and was a Little League baseball coach at his various stations of duty. 
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Deirdre "Dee" Davies, of the family home; a daughter, Rozalind Fulcher and husband, Kevin; his grandchildren Jesse Wayne Fulcher, Emily Davies Fulcher and Kevin Fulcher, all of Scott Air Force Base, Ill.; and a brother, Darryl Keith Davies and wife, Peggy, a half-brother, Wayne Scott and a half sister, Katherine Belcher, all of Jacksonville.
Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010, at the Alamogordo Funeral Home chapel with Elder Antonio Mays officiating. Full military honors will be provided by the Holloman Air Force Base Steel Talons Honor Guard. A reception will follow at the funeral home.
He will be missed by his family and many friends.
The Davies family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the arrangements. Cremation will take place locally at PCS.
