1937 - 2012 Obituary Condolences
Royce B. Holiman, 74, of Bloomfield, died Monday, March 5, 2012, at his home in Bloomfield. He was born Aug. 3, 1937, to Oscar and Opal Holiman.
A longtime resident of Alamogordo, Royce worked as an auto mechanic and owned his own gas station. He also worked as a fleet mechanic and warehouse manager for Otero County Electric Coop. In 1998, he and his wife, Patricia (Pat), moved to Bloomfield where they were members of First Baptist Church. He enjoyed being outside "playing in the dirt," fishing and wood working. He will be missed by his family and many friends.
He was preceded in death by Pat, his wife of 41 years; son David Holiman; parents; brother Kenneth Holiman; and three grandchildren. He is survived by sons Eddy Holiman, of Antlers, Okla., and Bobby Holiman, of Texas; daughters Teresa (Harry) Fuchs, of Mound, Minn., Cindy (Wes) Hunter, of Alamogordo, and Sherri (Robert) Grona, of Bloomfield; brothers Doyle (Lanell) Holiman and Elton Holiman; sisters Melody (Kenneth) Pool and Robin (Loyd) Byrum; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no services. Memorials may be made to the New Mexico Boys and Girls Home Care of First Baptist Church of Bloomfield, 200 W. Sycamore Ave., Bloomfield, NM 87413.
