Salvador Sandoval Obituary
Salvador Sandoval passed away at his home in Alamogordo on Thursday, March 15, 2012. He was born Sept. 24, 1949 to Lorenzo and Manuela (Campos) Sandoval.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Irma Acuna; brothers, Henry, Albert and Carlos; father-in-law, Dolores Delgado; brother-in-law, Joe Delgado; and nephew, Antonio Delgado.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou; daughter, Alicia and her husband, Rene; son, Sal and his wife, Jessica.
Sal has nine loving grandchildren; granddaughters, Melissa, Kayla, Reyna, Gabriella, Alayna, Daniella and Isabella; and grandsons, Mikey and Lorenzo. He is also survived by his sisters, Yolanda and her husband Johnny Rodriquez, Melinda and her husband Hector Galvan; brother, Guadalupe; Sal also has six children and four wonderful in-laws, Juanita, Helen and husband Bob, Felipa, Mary Ann and husband Joe, Jimmy and wife Hedy, and Larry and wife Mary Ellen; and a number of amazing nieces and nephews.
Sal served in the Air Force as security police. He also served Alamogordo as a police officer and later for the Otero County Sheriff's Department. When he did have spare time he enjoyed spending time with his family and going fishing. Sal said he will continue his fishing while in Heaven.
The Rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m., following the Rosary with Father Juan Montoya, Celebrant.
The family will greet friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at Hamilton-O'Dell Funeral Chapel.
