Obituary Condolences

Scott William Agnew passed away at his home in Alamogordo on the morning of Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2008, of a heart attack. Born Wednesday, Nov. 27, 1957, he was the second of three sons of Dr. Colvin and Alice Agnew, formerly of Billings, Mont., and Alamogordo. Scott graduated from Billings West High School, Class of 1976, and received his Bachelor of Science from the College of Idaho in 1981 in art education. He worked on a graduate degree in fine arts at Arizona State University, and received his master's in fine arts from the University of New Mexico, Las Cruces. Scott enjoyed working with young adults, particularly troubled teens, at schools in Montana and New Mexico. His art included paintings and pottery, and he developed pieces with unique glazing. Scott is survived by his brothers Stuart, of Albuquerque, and Kirk, of Redmond, Ore.; sister Lauryn, of Moss Beach, Calif., their children, and many family members in the Alamogordo and the Cincinnati, Ohio, area. His wry sense of humor, his kindness and love of his dogs, friends and family will be missed. Services will be held at St. John's Episcopal Church in Alamogordo on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008, at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John's Church or to the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation, Attn: Honor & Memorial Gifts, P.O.
