Stacey Jonnetta (Smith) Cordova Obituary
Stacey Johnetta Cordova (Smith) passed away on May 8, 2017 in Alamogordo, New Mexico. She was 45 years old.

The greatest gift she gave to the world are her three amazing children: Kayla Salazar (of Roswell, NM), Nevaeh Conrado and Ethanuel Conrado (both of Alamogordo, NM).

She is also survived by her mother, Sherry Conrado-Cooper and her husband, Jim Cooper; her father, John Smith and his wife Amy Smith, and their son Zachary Smith (all of Jacksonville, FL); her sister, Mandy Smith Ryan and her husband Andrew Ryan, and nieces Isla and Anya Ryan (all of Ann Arbor, MI).

Stacey was born on April 30, 1972 on a naval base in San Diego, California. She graduated from Dover High School in 1991, but spent the remainder of her life in Alamogordo, NM. She was married twice: once to Timothy Salazar (father of Kayla) and once to Jeromie Cordova (biological father of Nevaeh).

Stacey was a free spirit who was funny, unconventional, and fragile.

She was a talented untrained artist, taking after her father John. She began her work with portraits and then her work became more abstract. Her children carry on those talents.

A funeral service will be held Monday, May 15th, 2017 at 2 PM at Alamogordo Funeral Home, 2301 First Street, Alamogordo. A burial will follow on Tuesday, May 16th at 10 AM at Monte Vista Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited.

Flowers and condolences may be sent to Alamogordo Funeral Home.

Donations in her honor are welcome to any mental health service organization.

The Cordova family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the funeral services.
