Thelma Mae Boyce of La Luz was born April 28, 1913, in Ray, N. D., to Harry and Nannie (Flowers) Nelson. She passed away May 17, 2014, after living a long, eventful life. She married Ray Boyce and raised three daughters and one son: Ann, Pat (Patricia), Rae Etta and Samuel.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two daughters, Ann and Pat.

She is survived by her daughter Rae Etta (Keith) Colwell of Salem, Ore.; their daughters Pam and Jacque, and their children, their spouses and grandchildren; Samuel (Wanda) Boyce of La Luz, their children Colleen, Dianna, Thelma, Ruth, Naomi, Rae Ellen and Jubal and their spouses, children and grandchildren; Anne's son Michael, his children, and Pat's children:Melanie, Kathy Ann, Bruce, Steve, and Jeff, their spouses, children and grandchildren. She also leaves behind her loving caretakers Linda Gonzales-Hughes, and Jennifer Boyce her granddaughter-in-law. She has grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren too numerous to mention. She also leaves many nieces and nephews she loved dearly.

She came to New Mexico in 1965 to help care for three of her granddaughters and finished her life here. She felt the most important thing you would know about her was that she was one of Jehovah's Witnesses in association with the Tularosa congregation. She spent the last active years of her life in the full-time ministry that Jesus directed his followers to do before he left the earth. See: Matthew 28:19,20.

At 101 years of age, she left a legacy of loyalty and faithfulness. We invite you to join us in memory of her on Saturday, May 24, 2014, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at 1515 Fairview in Tularosa, NM at 3:00 p.m.
