Timothy Lee Tucker

Obituary Condolences

Employed at NewTec
Our beloved father, son and brother, Timothy Lee Tucker, went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, Dec. 22, 2008.
Timothy was born March 11, 1961, in Detroit to Carl B. and Marion L. Tucker. He was baptized at Oak Grove A.M.E. Church at the age of 15, and sang in the choir and was an usher. He graduated from Mumford High School in 1980. Timothy joined the U.S. Air Force in October 1980 and retired in February 2001 after 20 years of honorable service to his country. He had a great love of the outdoors and bowled many years with a league at Holloman Air Force Base.
Timothy had traveled around the world with the Air Force. Some of his travels took him to Osan Air Force Base, Korea, and Davis Monthan Air Force Base, Ariz., then he was stationed with the 49th Materiel Maintenance Squadron at Holloman. He received orders in 1995 to the 617th Civil Engineer Squadron at Ramstein Air Force Base, returned to Holloman in 1998 and retired from the 49 MMS in 2001. He was employed with NewTec at the time of his death.
Timothy was a loyal and dedicated employee and friend, uncle and brother; most of all, the essence of a loving father to his son Matthew L. Tucker.
He is survived by his father, Carl B. Tucker, and was preceded in death by his mother, Marion Loraine Tucker, on Nov. 30, 2004. He is also survived by his son Matthew, of Alamogordo; two brothers, the Rev. Erik Tucker and his wife, Angel, of Detroit, and Derek Tucker and his wife, Denise, of North Carolina; nieces and nephews Darnell Walker and Everett, Carlton, Ericka, Caleb, Judah and Jordan Tucker, all of North Carolina; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Timothy will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched.
Psalms 23.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 10 a.m. in the Hamilton-O'Dell Chapel with Pastor Richard Hicks of The Christian Church officiating.
Committal services will follow at 1 p.m. at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with military honors to be provided by the Holloman Air Force Base Steel Talons Honor Guard.
Friends may call this evening from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Hamilton-O'Dell Funeral Home.
