Vick L. Eudy Obituary
Vick L Eudy, 63, passed away unexpectedly on February 16, 2018. He was born in Concord, North Carolina to Mamie Pauline and Roy Lee Eudy. After graduating from high school, he married the love of his life, Susie Trull, in 1972 and promptly joined the Air Force. During his 20 years with the Air Force, Vick and Susie lived in many places, like Columbus, Mississippi and Lakenheath, England. During these many adventures, they had three daughters together. Near the end of the road with the Air Force, the family came to be stationed at Holloman Air Force Base. Vick decided this was the place to start a new chapter in life and he retired from the Air Force. He worked for years with several military contractors, but found his true calling, in 2006, as the director of the House of Hope, a men's recovery home.

Vick loved showing others the road to sobriety, even if it meant strong words and tough rules. Anyone who knew Vick, knew exactly where they stood with him. He was never one to mince words. Anyone who knew Vick also knew that if he had the means to help or give a hand up to a fellow human, he would not hesitate. Many of those he helped see the path to sobriety deeply respected him for it, some who could not see, did not. This never deterred him from giving it all he had.

Though never perfect, he was a loving husband of 45 years and a wonderful father to his three daughters. Vick loved the beach, NASCAR, and Carolina Panthers football. He could be found most weekends watching TV with his wife and three very spoiled dogs. He received a smoker as a Christmas gift one year and became pretty accomplished at smoking meats, which everyone loved.

Loved ones that will miss Vick until they meet again are, his wife, Susie Eudy, his eldest daughter, Sandi Loomis and her husband Aric, of Roswell, NM, his middle daughter Wendi Eudy, of Alamogordo, NM, and his youngest daughter, Bonni Luzano and her husband Jason, of Alamogordo, NM. His brother Wayne Eudy and his wife Betty of Calabash, NC. He also had 2 grandsons that he was very proud of, MMN3 Chase Loomis, of Pearl Harbor, HI, and Chris Luzano of Alamogordo, NM.

Cremation will take place at Alamogordo Funeral Home at Vick's request. There will be a celebration of Vick's life on Saturday, February 24th, at First Presbyterian Church located at 1318 14th St, Alamogordo, NM in the Fellowship Hall at 1pm. Vick was never one for exclusion, so the celebration is come as you are. Vick also loved to see people on the road to sobriety, and as such, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the House of Hope.
