Victor V. Calderon, 79
Victor V. Calderon, 79, passed away on Monday, Dec. 27, 2010, in Tularosa. He was born on July 28, 1931 in Loving to Manuel and Viviana (Valenzuela) Calderon.
Victor's hobbies included singing and fishing. He was a member of the Spanish Choir at St. Francis De Paula Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Celia F. Calderon, of the family home; sons, Victor Calderon Jr. and Penny Zorichak of Claremore, Okla., Hector Calderon and Millie Hernandez of Beaufort, S.C., Robert R Calderon Sr. and wife, Melissa, of Tucson, Ariz; daughters, Elva Guerrero and husband, Rudy Sr., of El Paso, Vivian Roach and Charlie Marrujo of Tularosa, Mary Quintana and husband, Cesario, of Alamogordo, Lucinda Jurado and husband, Robert, of Moore, Okla.; 19 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and sisters Maria Ramos and Adelida Alvarado.
He was preceded in death by his parents and numerous brothers and sisters.
The Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010, at St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church in Tularosa by Lorina Anaya. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010, at St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church with Father Max Hottle O.F.M., Celebrant.
Pallbearers include his grandsons, Sean Roach, Shane Roach, Joshua Quintana, Ruben Guerrero, Rudy Guerrero, Jr., Robert Calderon, Jr., Benjamin Calderon and Amador Maes.
Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Tularosa.
The family will greet friends from 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 29, at St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church.
The Calderon family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the funeral services.
