Viola S. Roman Obituary

Viola S. Roman, 94, passed away on July 27, 2014. She was born on Sept. 15, 1920, in Carrizozo to Alfredo and Lucinda Sandoval.

The Rosary for Viola S. Roman will be at 9:30 a.m., July 31, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with Carol Ann Roman reciting.
Mass of the resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m., following the rosary with Deacon Pete Schnuecher acting as celebrant.
Cremation will follow after the service.

Viola worked as a clerk for J.C. Penney Co. until she retired in 1985. She also worked at the New Mexico School for the Blind at White Sands Broom shop. Viola was a good, hard worker; she received all kinds of accolades for her honesty and good work. She loved to travel and go to Las Vegas to spin the wheels.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Candido; her son, Solomon Padilla; her daughter, Nora P. Carrico, and numerous grandchildren.

Viola loved and had many friends in Alamogordo.
