Mrs. Virginia Catrina (Castro) Sanchez

1935 - 2008 Obituary Condolences
Virginia Sanchez was born Virginia Catrina Castro July 4, 1935, in Alamogordo. She met and married Eusebio Sanchez, and they moved to Willowbrook, Calif., in 1954. There, she began a career with the Los Angeles County Library System, which spanned 34 years.
Eusebio and Virginia moved their growing family to Bellflower in 1962, where they had lived ever since. Virginia loved books and reading. You could always find her curled up with a good book. Reading is a love she passed onto her children.
Virginia also loved music, traveling, could strike up a conversation with anyone and could make friends wherever she went. Her favorite holiday was the Fourth of July. She teased that the whole country was celebrating her birthday.
She touched the lives of so many and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She found peace and left this world Jan. 17, 2008.
Virginia was preceded in death by her father, Cilvino M. Castro; mother Ricarda (Wohlgemuth) Castro; sisters Josephine (Castro) Jones, Adelina (Castro) Lemke and Maria (Castro) Luevano.
