Viridiana Montes Obituary
Viridiana Montes, 22, passed away early Saturday morning, December 10, 2016 in Little Rock, Arkansas due to a vehicular accident alongside her fiancée Bryce Bain.

Vivis was born in El Paso, Texas on August 28,1994, the daughter of Josefina Mejia and Francisco Javier Montes. She was raised and was a lifelong resident of Alamogordo, New Mexico.

In her younger years, Vivis loved dancing and was a longtime member of "the Mejia Dancers", in which she loved to spread the joy of her Mexican culture to everyone through dance.

In high school she also found she had a talent and love for basketball, being a valued and beloved member of tiger basketball.

After graduating from Alamogordo High School in May of 2012, she patriotically joined the US Air Force. After Basic military Training in San Antonio, Texas, she was deployed to Jacksonville Air Force Base to begin her career as part of the Security Special Forces and where she would meet her fellow airman and future fiancée Bryce Bain. Vivis came to reach the rank of E4 Senior Airman and was scheduled to be honorably discharged on December 22, 2016.

Vivis was an avid philanthropist who jumped at the chance to volunteer for any event that the Air Force was holding.

She also had a passion for exploring and going into the wilderness, constantly traveling and trekking into the forests of every state she visited.

She had also started her journey into helping young children, by beginning her college career at the University of Arkansas and pursuing her career in child psychology.

Visitation will be held at Alamogordo funeral home Friday, December 16, 2016 from 8 am to 12 pm followed by Mass at 2 pm at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Burial will be held at Fort Bliss National Cemetery at 2 pm on Monday December 19, 2016 preceded by a Mass at 10 am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

She is survived by her parents, Josefina Mejia and Francisco Montes; her brothers, Oscar and Jose Javier Montes; and lots of loving family and friends.

Good people pass away; the godly often die before their time. But no one seems to care or wonder why. No one seems to understand that God is protecting them from the evil to come. Isaiah 57:1

The Montes family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the funeral services.
