Wilfred Craine Jr. Obituary

Wilfred Craine Jr., 80, passed away peacefully at home after a long illness on Sept. 24, 2014, in North Las Vegas, Nev. He was born March 22, 1934, in Moses, to Wilfredo and Ramoncita Craine.

Wilfred's occupation was a linotype operator with the Alamogordo Daily News, the Union County Leader of Clayton and numerous local commercial print shops. He served in the Army National Guard as a SFC.
His prized possession was a 1967 Pontiac GTO. One of his happiest times was riding in a "Mario Andretti Indy" race car that reached speed of 180 miles per hour. He smiled and couldn't stop talking about his experience. Anything and everything that dealt with cars, he loved.
Wilfred was an avid reader of American and Military History. He loved to hunt and took every opportunity to spend time outdoors.

He is preceded in death by his parents Wilfredo and Ramoncita Craine; his beloved daughter, Connie Clapham of North Las Vegas, Nev., and his sister Dora Garcia of Amarillo, Texas.

Wilfred is survived by his son, Gerrick Craine (Sue) of Alamogordo; daughter Gail Veilleux of North Las Vegas, Nev., son-in-law Don Clapham also of North Las Vegas. He is also survived by four brothers: Daniel Craine of Denver, Colo., Martin Craine of Amarillo, Texas; Lawrence Craine (Katie) of Alamogordo; Bob Craine (Lucy) of Alamogordo -- two sisters Mary Nunez (David) of Las Cruces, and Sarah Armijo of Pacoima, Calif., and his favorite Aunt Julia Cordova of Albuquerque.
