William Stanbrough Obituary
William (Bill) Stanbrough was born in 1936 in Arivaca, AZ to Crete and Sylvia Stanbrough. He passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018. He moved to High Rolls, NM and met and married Virginia Samford from Mayhill. They were married in 1956 in Mayhill. All of Virginia's four sisters called him "Brother Bill" because he was the only brother they ever knew.

Bill and Virginia lived in High Rolls and had three children Wanetta, Tiger and Johnny. During this time Bill worked for the Forest Service in Cloudcroft for 33 years. After Bill's retirement he enjoyed hunting with his kids and several grandchildren. Bill also enjoyed wood working, arrowhead hunting and watching his kids and grandkids in High School and College sports.

Bill and Virginia were married for 61 years and he was the love of Virginia's life. Bill is survived by his wife Virginia, daughter Wanetta and her husband Joel Ferguson, son Tiger and fiancée Charlotte, son Johnny and wife Shanna, grandchildren Jason (Janice) Ferguson, Thomas (Jenny) Ferguson, Jessi Ferguson, RaLynne (Manny) Stanbrough, Staci Stanbrough, Kirbie (Cody)Traylor, Baillie (Kevin) Smilie, Brittany, Jake and Rhylan Stanbrough. Bill is also survived by six great grandchildren, brother Clifford (Carrie) Stanbrough, daughter-in-law Carolin Scott, brother-in-law Fred Griffin and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be missed by many friends and family in the community too numerous to name.

Friends and family are invited to a Memorial Service with lunch following the service at the Church of Christ, in Cloudcroft, on Saturday, January 13th at 11 am.
