Juanita Irene (Wilson) Owen, 58, went to be with the Lord on April, 7, 2016, in Alamogordo, New Mexico. She was born on Dec. 30, 1957, in Tularosa, New Mexico to Cecil Wand Ruthie L (Franks) Wilson.
After graduating from Alamogordo High School, Juanita married her high school sweetheart, Kenneth. She pursued cake decorating and various other crafts as well as fostering at least forty children before being blessed with a son of her own.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Kenneth E. Owen and son, Matthew D. Owen; two brothers, Kenneth W. (Valorie) Wilson of Antwerp, N.Y., and Donald D. (Marianne) Ball of Tyler, Texas; three aunts, Kay (Gene) Stailey, Barbara Wilson, and Ruby Wilson; fifteen cousins and eleven nieces and nephews; and so very many extended family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Cecil W. and Ruthie L. Wilson, her grandparents Gamers Franks; Frankie Ruth Bonnell Wilson; Gilbert Wilson; Cecil F. Wilson. Three uncles: Kenneth O. Wilson; Eldon Wilson; and Sammy Franks.
Services will be held at La Luz Bible Church in La Luz on Saturday, April 16, 2016. Viewing and visitation Saturday at 9 a.m., Service at 10 a.m., officiated by Pastor Ron Tyson.
Lunch will be served at the church immediately following the burial.

Nita and I went to High School together, attended church together. We had a lifetime of laughter, giggles and smiles. I will miss her infectious smile and so many more things, she was truly a sister to me. She will be sorely missed.
