Emma Escobar Obituary
BEN BOLT - Emma Escobar, age 61, passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 in a San Antonio hospital following a sudden illness. Emma was born to Ricardo and Elida (Bazan) Escobar on Oct. 6, 1956 in Alice, Texas.

Emma was preceded in death by her brother: Ricky Escobar, and her father: Ricardo Escobar. Emma worked for Gibson Dept Store, then with the Jim Wells County Sheriff Office, City of Orange Grove Municipal Court Secretary, Roberson EMS Billing Office, and several Doctor's offices in Alice.

Emma will always be remembered as a sweet spirited person, whom never met a stranger. Emma was a dedicated Member of St. Peter Catholic Church of Ben Bolt, where she previously taught CCD and currently was serving as Alter Society President.

Survivors: Mother: Elida "Lita" Escobar of Ben Bolt, Texas, a cousin raised as a sister: Priscilla (Jimmy) Garcia of Corpus Christi, Texas, Special Aunt thought of as a mother: Maria "Nena" Shultz of Ben Bolt, Texas, two nieces: Deanndra Garcia of Corpus Christi, Texas, Adrianna Garcia of Corpus Christi, Texas, Nephew: Sergio Garcia of Corpus Christi, Texas, Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.

A Visitation will begin on Monday, July 2, 2018 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the St. Peter Catholic Church in Ben Bolt, Texas with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the St. Peter Catholic Church in Ben Bolt, Texas.

Burial will follow in the Calaveras Cemetery in Ben Bolt, Texas

The Family would like to thank the friends and family that stayed with Emma during her stay in the hospital, a special thank you to Fr. Pete, and to nurses Josh, Chris, Jose, and Dr. Fleischer and Santa Rosa Hospital.
