Alice Nugent Obituary
Alice Nugent, 91, of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at the Morning Star Assisted Living in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Alice was born December 9, 1923 in Blackfoot, Idaho the daughter of Anton Henry Kruse and Hazel Chapman Kruse. 
She was raised in Blackfoot and attended Blackfoot High School.
On January 18, 1947, she married Ronald L. Nugent in Blackfoot, Idaho.  Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on December 16, 1955. He preceded her in death on October 3, 2009.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She served in many positions in the various organizations.
Alice was a member of the Lady Lions organization where she served as president and other offices.
She worked as a secretary for the Lewis Electric in Blackfoot and also as an administrative assistant at Key Bank.
She enjoyed painting, reading, road trips and spending time with family.
She is survived by son, Russell Dean (Sandi) Nugent of Pocatello and daughter, Shirley Jean (Edwin) Conrad of Idaho Falls;  sisters, Louise Canepa of Carmel, Calif.; Teddy Curry of Nampa, Idaho;  five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald, son, Blaine K., her parents, brothers, and sisters, Millicent, Hortence and Evelyn.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 4, 2015 at the Blackfoot 4th & 11th Ward Building, 520 N. Shilling Ave., Blackfoot, Idaho with Bishop Jon Clapp conducting.
The family will meet with friends on Friday evening, April 3, 2015 from 6-7:30 p.m. at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave. and for one hour prior to the service at the church.
Interment will be in the Grove City Cemetery.
