Allen Lamont Stears Obituary
Allen Lamont Stears, 73, of Idaho Falls, passed away March 20, 2018, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. 
Allen was born August 18, 1944, in Idaho Falls, ID, to Len Taylor Stears and Thelma Agnes Parks Stears. He grew up and attended schools in Spring Valley and graduated from Mount Migal High School. He also attended Vo-Tech College, Welding school and Pneumatic controls.
On June 12, 1965, he married Linda Carol Sauers in Spring Valley, California. They were later sealed on June 12, 1968 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. To this union were born three children, Wade, Kristie and Lance. Allen and Linda lived in Idaho Falls, St. Anthony and Blackfoot. Allen worked as a HVAC for Johnson Controls for 25 yrs. He also worked as a pipe fitter, bee keeper, logger, service man for Van Gas, carpenter, plumber, electrician and boiler maker.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served as a ward missionary and assistant ward clerk. He enjoyed ATV, fishing, coyote hunting, flint knapping, four wheeling, camping and genealogy.
Allen is survived by his loving wife, Linda Stears of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Kristie (Merrill) Fullmer of Idaho Falls, ID, son, Lance Stears of West Valley City, UT, brother, DeLen Thomas Stears of Sandy, UT, sister, Della Marie Goody of Idaho Falls, ID, seven grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Wade Lamont Stears and his brother, Van Stears.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 26, 2018 at the Idaho Falls Brentwood LDS Ward, 2040 Brentwood Drive in Idaho Falls, with Bishop Grant Stone, officiating. The family will visit with friends from 6-7:30 p.m. on Sunday and from 10-10:45 a.m. Monday, both times at the church. Burial will be in the Moreland Cemetery.
