Angel Moya "Paul" Alvarez Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Angel "Paul" Moya Alvarez announces his passing on August 6, 2015, in Reno, Nevada. Paul was 65 years old. Paul will be warmly remembered by his brothers Tony (Debbie) Alvarez, Carlos (Valerie) Alvarez, Amando (Janet) Alvarez, and his sisters Connie (Julian) Perez, and Lupe Alvarez. Paul was preceded in death by his parents Antonio Alvarez Almazán and Francisca Moya Flores, and his sister and brother Ester Alvarez and Juanito Alvarez, respectively.
Paul was born on August 23, 1949, in San Juan, Texas, but his early years were spent in the Blackfoot area. He was a quick learner and had a degree in diesel mechanics. Paul graduated from Blackfoot High School in 1969. He was also a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church. Paul inherited a strong work ethic and labored hard most of his life. In his teenage years he worked in the fields in Rising River and Taber. Later, he worked at the AEC (INEL) site and held diverse jobs in Washington, Colorado, and Nevada.
Paul loved to travel and visited his family throughout the United States and Mexico. He had a positive attitude about life and demonstrated peace and composure in difficult situations. He helped his parents and siblings with household improvements and automobile repairs. His nieces and nephews were especially fond of him and his caring attitude. Paul was always willing to give unselfishly of his limited resources. His favorite music was country & western, regarding it the best music in the world. He spent much of his later years in withdrawn solitude, perhaps to reflect on memories of family and friends-past and present.
No doubt, Paul's suffering has come to end and he has awakened to a better world. He will be sadly missed. No funeral arrangements have been made at this time. Condolences may be sent to the family of Paul Alvarez c/o Amando Alvarez, 937 S. Shilling Ave., Blackfoot, Idaho, 83221.
