Anne Marie Hayes Jensen Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Anne Marie Hayes Jensen announces her passing, on Friday, February 23, 2018 at the age of 64. Anne will be lovingly remembered by her children Charlie Jensen, Christy Jensen (Nick Angle), her grandchildren, Joey and Addison Kamps, her brother and sisters, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Anne was born in Indiana, to James and Eleanor Hayes. After graduating with her degree in teaching she moved to Firth Idaho to begin her career. Anne had a special passion and talent for Special Education Preschool, she chose to do this for her entire career. She furthered her education while working and received her masters in teaching. Anne loved being a teacher, even after retirement she continued to work for the school district. Her hard work and dedication positively impacted many lives.
Anne met the love of her life, Richard Jensen, they were married July 31, 1981. They had two children, Christy and Charlie. Richard and Anne chose to reside in Wapello close to his parents and many wonderful friends. Anne and Richard loved to spend their free time outdoors, camping, fishing, and just being together as a family. Countless wonderful memories were made on their adventures together. Anne cherished the time that she spent with her family and many wonderful friends.
Anne's greatest joy was her grandchildren, Joey and Addison. Anne spent all of her free time going to their activities, cooking with them, and spending time being silly with them.
Anne is preceded in death by husband Richard, brother Steve Hayes, and her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Avenue in Blackfoot. The family will visit with friends and relatives Friday, March 2, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. and for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Federation for Children with Special Needs or Special Olympics.
