Arva Elizabeth Line Obituary
Arva Elizabeth Line, 93, of Chubbuck, passed away Friday, Oct. 7, 2016 at Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello.
She was born Oct. 7, 1923 at Thayne, Wyoming, to Alvin and Edna Hokason Hebdon. She was raised in the Thayne and Preston areas and attended school there, her family later moved to Blackfoot, where she finished high school.
On Dec. 24, 1945, she married Ray "Porky" Line at Malad, Idaho.  Ray preceded her in death on Sept. 9, 1997.
Arva was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was also a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.
Arva worked at the aircraft plant at Hill Air Air Force Base in Layton, Utah, one of "Rosie's Riveters". Following her marriage she worked on the farm in Springfield, then worked for Kracaw Produce in Fort Hall and Sunspiced and Lambert Produce  before retiring.
She enjoyed fishing, cooking, gardening, bingo and camping. She also loved the times she was able to visit friends in Coeur d' Alene.
Arva is survived by her children: Darell (Frances) Line of Chubbuck, Brenda Esta of Shelley, Sandra (James) Shamburg of Groveland; 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchilden.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray; son, Dale Line, her parents; brothers LaVaun , Edwin, Ronald, Arlie, Fred and Joseph Hebdon and sisters, Edna Swanson, Selma Simper, Glenna Smith, LaRee Hebdon and LaRaine Lindsay.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11 at Springfield Cemetery. The family will meet with friends and relatives from 12-1:30 p.m. prior to services. Interment will be in Springfield Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at: www.hawkerfuneralhome.com.
