Audrey (Talbot) Vail Obituary
Audrey Talbot Vail, 86, passed away peacefully at her home in Blackfoot, Idaho, on Sunday, December 20, 2015, surrounded by her loved ones.   
Audrey Talbot was born March 30, 1929, in Winder, Idaho, to Henry Leon (Lee) Talbot and Alice (Naomi) Seamons. She was the 7th of 12 children. Audrey was raised in the Winder/Preston area. She graduated from Preston High School and was very involved in music and sports. 
On May 4, 1951, Audrey married Marvin Wayne Vail for time and eternity in the Logan LDS Temple. They were blessed with eight children, Shelley, Patty, David, Scott, Jeffrey, Karla, Rick, and Valerie. Her greatest joys were her husband, family, and love of the gospel. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed making her home a haven for them and where all felt welcome. She was a blessing to her family, was very loved, and will be greatly missed.
Audrey was a great example to all who knew her. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a strong testimony of the gospel. She served in several different Relief Society, Young Women, and Primary presidencies and always strived to magnify her callings.  Audrey and her husband, Wayne, served a mission in the Tennessee Nashville Mission.
She was talented in many areas. She was a natural athlete who especially enjoyed softball. Audrey used her gifts to bless her family with art, music, reading, cake decorating, sewing, and cooking. 
Audrey is survived by her children, Shelley (Richard) Jensen of Mantua, Utah, Patricia "Patty" (Craig) Goodwin of Moreland, David (Mickie) Vail of Groveland, the late Scott (Vicki) Vail of Rupert, Jeffrey (Sheri) Vail of Rexburg, Karla (the late Bryan) Groom of Rexburg, Eric "Rick" (Lisa) of Rose, and Valerie (Dan) Lloyd of Rexburg. She is also survived by siblings, Dona (Glenn) Sayer, Eugene (Joyce) Talbot, Dora (the late Gordon) Oxborrow, Neil (Sharon) Talbot, and Jan (Howard) Thatcher; 48 grandchildren and 84 great-grandchildren.  
She was proceeded in death by her husband, Marvin Wayne Vail; son, Scott Marvin Vail; son-in-law, Bryan A Groom; her parents, Lee and Naomi Talbot; siblings, Gwen (the late Ernie) Gregersen, Henry (the late Clara) Talbot, Keith (the late Mabel) Talbot, June (the late Dean) Handy, Ken (Djon) Talbot, Gary Talbot; and grandchildren, Katara Vail and Joseph Kimball.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 28, 2015, at the Blackfoot South Stake Center, 900 Riverton Road in Blackfoot, with Bishop Russell Cottam conducting. 
Family will meet with friends and relatives from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, December 27, 2015, at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling Avenue in Blackfoot, and Monday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. 
Interment will follow at the Moreland Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at [email protected].
