Babneau Obituary
Sheila Babneau, 60, of Rockford, Idaho passed away Thursday, January 5, 2017 at her home following an acute illness.
She was born May 28, 1956 in Peterborough, New Hampshire to Melvin B. Collins and Marilyn Newell Collins.
As a child, Sheila grew up in New York on Long Island. She graduated from Conant High School in Jaffrey, New Hampshire in 1974. She has resided in Rockford since 1989.
On May 1, 1976, she married Thomas Babneau at Cathedral of the Pines in Rindge, New Hampshire.
Sheila was baptized into the Catholic Church but attended and worked at the United Methodist Church.
She participated in many care groups. She was very involved in her Rockford community, helping to make it and the surrounding community a better place to live.
Sheila had a natural talent for floral design. She worked as a florist at Deseret Oasis, Dayley Floral, Hilary's and was currently running her own business, Country Impressions Floral and Design.
She loved music, camping with family, being around people and cooking for others. Her greatest joy came from comforting her own family and their friends. She donated her time to helping those in need.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas of Rockford; daughter, Aimee Babneau (Brandon Reeves) of Driggs and son, Paul Babneau (Jessica Hopkins) of Whitefish, Montana; sister, Jean Collins of Idaho Falls, Idaho; two grandchildren, Jonas Reeves and Alex Reeves.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave, Blackfoot, Idaho. The family will continue to meet with friends following the service for a further celebration of Sheila's life.
