Barry J. Christensen Obituary
Barry J Christensen, 76, of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away Thursday, April 5, 2018 at his home.
Barry was born December 17, 1941 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Wendell Christensen and Auril Heaton Christensen. He grew up in Goshen and attended Firth elementary, he graduated from Firth High School.

Farming was Barry's life. He was a successful farmer in Bingham and Power Counties. Business ventures include: B.J. Christensen and Sons, Pleasant Valley Potato, Sun Dance Farms, and White Water Sports. Barry loved working hard and playing hard with his family. Barry's older brother passed away after harvest was over and Barry always said he should have passed before the work began instead of after it was over, and he showed him how it was done.
Barry was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had received his Eagle Scout award. He served as a Young Mens President. He was also a member of the Old Car Club and the Old (I.RO.N.) Tractor Club.
In his free time he enjoyed jeeping in Moab and snowmobiling, collecting guns, old cars and tractors. He enjoyed visiting Island Park, St. George, and Hawaii. He especially loved spending time with his family.
Barry is survived by his son, Thane (Connie) Christensen of Rockford; daughter in Law, Rebecca Christensen; brother, Arlen (Lynnae) Christensen of Goshen; sister-in-law, Christine Christensen; grandchildren, Nic (Melissa) Christensen, Toni Mendez, Jake (Christine) Christensen, Mikaeli Christensen, Bradlynn Christensen, and Savanah Christensen; and great grandchildren, Andy, Kaden, Damen and Quincey.
