Betty Ann Pruhs Hendricks Obituary
Betty Ann Pruhs Hendricks, 91, of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at the home of her daughter in Pocatello, Idaho.
She was born on April 6, 1926 in Salt Lake City to Anna Leona Squire and Parley Allen Pruhs, Sr.
Betty Ann lived in Salt Lake City until she was six, then she moved to Ventura, Calif. Later, her family moved to Alhambra, Calif., where she was active in church and school, becoming a Golden Gleaner and attending Pasadena Junior College. 
She married Don Hollis Hendricks on Aug. 21, 1950 in Logan, Utah. Together they made their home in Blackfoot, where they had three children: Harold, Dawnelle and Joyce.
Betty was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many ward and stake callings, in the Primary and as Relief Society President. 
From 1983 through 1989 she served with her husband in the Papeete, Tahiti Temple, and returned again to serve as temple matron from 1998-99.
She loved to dance, sing, play hide-and-go-seek with her children. She enjoyed board games, especially Scrabble, and was an avid reader enjoying many subjects. She also entertained her grandchildren and great-grandchildren with songs and stories.
Betty Ann is survived by her children and their spouses, Harold H. and Naomi Hendricks of Provo, Utah; Dawnelle and Dennis Current of Blackfoot, and Joyce and Brad Burnett of Pocatello; 17 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Don; parents Leona and Parley; brothers Parley Allen, Jr. and Jacques Pruhs; sisters Delpha Charles and Beatrice Johnson, and a grandson, David Pyne.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 17 at the Blackfoot LDS South Stake Center, 1000 Riverton Road. A viewing will be held on Friday, June 16, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Schilling, and again at 10 a.m., one hour prior to the services at the Stake Center. Interment will be in the Grove City Cemetery.
