Bob Lawrence Jorgensen Obituary
Bob Lawrence Jorgensen, 88, returned home to his Heavenly Father on Dec. 24, 2016. He was born Nov. 13, 1928, in Blackfoot to Joseph and Elizabeth Jorgensen. He married Ruth L. Romriell on July 14, 1958 in Evanston, Wyoming. She preceded him in death on March 26, 2001.
Bob loved the outdoors and outdoor activities, particularly camping, fishing and hunting. He also loved to be around people - teasing and having fun. His heart was always full of kindness. He helped friends and neighbors whenever possible and he cared for his ailing wife for many years. He touched many lives and was loved by many.
He is survived by his close companion of the last few years, Beverly Knox, his children: Betty Blair (Harvey), Ron Lish (Linda), Cora Hendricks (Brian), Ginger Krogue (Steven), Paul Jones (Norma), Ken Jones (Carlon) and Bobby Jorgensen (Jodi); 25 grandchildren; and numerous great- and great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by wife Ruth Jorgensen, two brothers, Joe and Billy Jorgensen, and three sisters, Joyce Jorgensen, Betty Pittman and Mary Novosad.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 29 at the Hawker Funeral Home. The family will meet with friends on Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and again on Thursday for an hour prior to services at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Norton Cemetery in McCammon, Idaho at 4 p.m. on Dec. 29.
