Bonita Janet Thompson Obituary
Bonita Janet Thompson, 75, of Blackfoot passed away Friday, July 22, 2016 at The Garden's in Rigby from natural causes. 
She was born Dec. 12, 1940 in Rigby, Idaho the daughter of Alma LeRoy Campbell and Grace Mod Price Campbell.
She lived her youth in Rigby and attended grade school in Ucon and high school at Bonneville.
On Aug. 1, 1956, she married Lyle J. Thompson Sr. in Ucon, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple. He preceded her in death on May 16, 2009.
Janet was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed attending the temple.
She was a homemaker as well as the accountant and vice president of the family business, All-States Distributing.
She enjoyed getting together with a group of friends making porcelain dolls. She also enjoyed gardening, jewelry, riding dirt bikes and 4 wheelers in the mountains, motorcycling with her husband on their Honda Gold Wing road bike, traveling in their motorhome and dancing (she was especially great at the Jitter Bug).
She is survived by her three sons, Lyle J. (Annette) Thompson Jr. of Rigby, Ricky Allen (Ellen) Thompson of Rockford and Darren LaMar (Koree) Thompson of Blackfoot; brother, Glen LeRoy (Vicki) Campbell of American Falls; sister, Wilma McIntier of Idaho Falls. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren and her dog, "Sandy."
Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her parents.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 26 at the Riverside LDS Church, 7 N 700 W in Blackfoot. The family will meet with friends and relatives from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, July 25 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling Avenue in Blackfoot and for one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will follow at Grove City Cemetery in Blackfoot. Condolences may be sent to the family online atwww.hawkerfuneralhome.com.
