Carl Staley Obituary
Carl Staley passed away on Nov. 9, 2015, from heart failure in Boise, Idaho, at the age of 88.
Carl was born the seventh of nine children to Warren and Mabel Staley in Kimberly, Idaho on Sept. 13, 1927. After graduating from Kimberly High School, he joined the Navy to serve in World War II. Following the war, Carl went to laboratory and x-ray school in St. Louis, Missouri. When Carl graduated, he moved back to Idaho and went to work at the Burley hospital. It was there he met Delores DalSoglio. They dated for two months and were married on April 28, 1950. They moved to Blackfoot and began working at the newly opened Bingham Memorial Hospital. Carl worked at the hospital for 40 years. During that time, he was in charge of the lab and x-ray departments, was assistant administrator, and in 1975, he became the hospital administrator. He retired in 1990. Carl was also the Bingham County Coroner for 20 years. He was involved in many organizations, both locally and nationally.
In 2012, Carl and Delores moved to Boise to be closer to their children and grandchildren.
Carl is survived by his wife, Delores; three children, Kristel Katseanes, San Antonio,Texas; Jeff Staley, Boise; Anne (Carl) Hays, Boise; five grandchildren, Adam Katseanes, Camille Staley, Amanda Staley, Laura Conilogue, Alex Conilogue; three great-grandchildren, Colton, Cyrus, and Lillianna; and also his sister Lois Crist.
We would like to thank the caregivers of Emerson House and Signature Hospice for the love and care they gave Carl. Funeral will be by cremation and a celebration of his life will be arranged at a later time.
