Cathleen Gay (Cushman) Alleman Obituary
Cathleen Gay (Cushman) Alleman, 68, passed away peacefully at her home on March 20, 2017 as a result of head trauma and stroke following a fall on the ice on Feb. 28, 2017.
Cathy was born Dec. 21, 1948 in Idaho Falls to Chester Gene Cushman and Donna Jean Titmus. She attended school in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. 
In 1968, she married Richard (Dick) Kent Hunt in Blackfoot, they later divorced. 
Cathy had two sons. Ryan Kent Hunt was born in 1969 (deceased 1992), and Aaron Michael Hunt, born in 1972 (deceased 2015).
In 2001, Cathy moved back to Blackfoot. She worked at State Hospital South where she met Brad Alleman. They married, January 25, 2002 in Blackfoot, Idaho.
After retiring from State Hospital South, Cathy enjoyed working part-time at Kesler's Garden Center where she made wonderful friends. 
Cathy was a Master Gardner. She loved growing flowers, vegetables, and berries and enjoyed sharing them with family and friends.
She enjoyed her neighborhood and loved her neighbors, especially the children. She was often seen riding her bike with her puppy (Heidi Sue) in the basket.
Cathy is survived by her husband, Brad Alleman; a step-son, Matthew (Shelley) Alleman; three brothers, Michael Cushman, Idaho Falls; Gary Cushman, Boise; and Todd Cooper, Idaho Falls; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Ryan and Aaron; one brother, Roger Wayne Cushman; and both parents. 
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Blackfoot LDS First Ward building, 187 No. Ash Street, followed with a luncheon for family and friends.
