Charles Anthony Rossi Obituary
Charles Anthony Rossi, 91, a lifelong farmer and rancher of Pingree, Idaho passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at Turtle and Crane Assisted Living in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Charlie was born May 22, 1924 in Sunnyside, Utah to Guistino Rossi and Maria Carmina Rinna. Charlie was the fourth of five children. The family moved to Pingree, Idaho when he was two. He attended school in the old Thomas High School.
On August 21, 1948 he married Vivian Jane Barrus in Blackfoot, Idaho. They recently celebrated 67 years of marriage and life on the family farm. They had five children: Charlene, Evelyn, Katherine, Judy and Tony.
Charlie was a skilled fisherman and hunter. He could navigate the Snake River or walk a stream and always catch fish. He loved to hunt, especially geese. He taught many family and friends the art of both. 
He loved to play pool, cards and slots. And he was always up for a great game of chess, checkers and cards with the kids and grandkids. 
Charlie served on the Board for Parks and Waterways and was on bowling leagues.
He is survived by his wife of Pingree; his children, daughters: Charlene Rossi of Litchfield Park, Arizona; Evelyn Rossi of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Katherine Harris of Spokane, Washington; Judy (Kirk) Smith of Woods Cross, Utah; and son Tony (Marie) Rossi of Blackfoot, Idaho; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Lenora (Vernon) Bethke of American Falls, Idaho.  
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Louis and teenage brother Joe; sister, Lucy Sandretto; and son-in-law, Rudell Furniss.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling Avenue in Blackfoot, with visitation one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
