Clarice J. Daybrest, 84
On December 8, 2014, our beloved mother and grandmother, Clarice Jean Burgin Daybrest, 84, slipped her earthly bonds to walk among angels.
She was born April 9, 1930 to Paul A. and Ada Deaun Nelson Burgin in Lavaside, north of Blackfoot, Idaho.
On November 21, 1947, she married William J. Daybrest.  They settled down on a small acreage outside of Lava Hot Springs, Idaho and raised four children.  They also raised cows, a few pigs and raspberries.
Clarice worked for several places in and around Lava Hot Springs, including the Lava Hot Springs Foundation, as a gardener.  She also worked as a cook in one of the local restaurants.  In the mid 70's, she opened her own upholstery shop and even taught adult education classes at Idaho State University.  She retired to Blackfoot with William in 1993.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William; a sister, Dorothy Lancaster, brother, Robert "Bobby" Burgin;  two grandsons, William J. III and Russell Hogaboom.
She is survived by the four children, Betty (LeRoy) Hogaboom of Tri-cities, WA, Peggy (Tony) Prince of Great Falls, MT., William J. (Debbie) Daybrest Jr. of Custer, South Dakota and Corey (Chris) Daybrest of Blackfoot, Idaho.  She is also survived by two brothers and two sisters, Marshall (Vena) Burgin of Lava Hot Springs, Idaho, Carl "Corky" (Joanne) Burgin of Longview, WA., Yvonne (Diggs) Lewis of Alpine, Wyoming, Judy (H.O.) Nix of Wendell, Idaho and several grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
At the families request, no services will be performed at this time.
A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
