Clifton Alfred Evans Obituary
Clifton Alfred Evans, 74,  went to his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, August 29, 2017, after his courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on July 15, 1943 in Elko Co, Nevada. He was the son of Ernest Vernon Evans and Daisy May Renfro Evans.
Clifton lived in Nevada, California, Utah and Idaho. His most memorable was in May, Idaho, where he lived with his eight brothers and sisters.
He served in the military in the Idaho National Guard. He also worked at Spudnik, Bucyrus-Erie, Dolder Motor as a mechanic then later a welder and finished his work as a foreman with a crew that he was always concerned about and cared for them and their families' welfare.
In the fall of 1964 he met the love of his life, Diane Louise Kopinitz. They later married on March 12, 1965.
Later Clifton and Diane were blessed with their three children: Terri Sue (Ray) Drysdale of Pocatello, Candi Ann Ricks of Shelly and Clifton Dennis (Jessica) Evans of Blackfoot.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He attended  church in the Blackfoot 2nd Ward and enjoyed reading his scriptures. Following the passing of his wife he was sealed to her in the Logan Temple.
During his life he enjoyed fishing, hunting and being with his family. He also took great pride in gardening and growing fresh vegetables.
Clifton is survived by his children and their spouses; his siblings Roy (Carol) Evans, Ernest (Nancy) Evans, Lewis (Pat) Evans, Larry (Dawn) Evans, Linda (Bob) Miller, Betty (Randy) Craig and Beverly (Stan) Wilcox, a sister-in-law Barbara Evans, his 9 grandchildren, Dallin (Kelsie) Drysdale, Cyndal (Cody) Dalley, Melissa (Terry) Elmer, David (Alyssa) Drysdale, Dana (Bryan) Morris, Kendra Staggs, Jammie Staggs, Camie (Ruben) Peña, and Kiara Evans and 11 great-grandchildren Emylia, Jaydon, Brailee, Liam, Ayden, Chanse, Emma, Rhykir, Sayliee, Delaney, Beckham with 1 more on the way.
He is preceded in death by his wife Diane, his parents, his brother Floyd Evans, and a great grandson Caidyn. He stayed very close with his sister-in-law Barbara following his brother Floyd's passing, who passed shortly after Diane.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday September 9, 2017 at the Blackfoot 2nd Ward, 660 Teton Road. Military honors will be presented immediately following the services. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.hawkerfuneralhome.com
