Dakota Oleson Obituary
Dakota Oleson, 22, of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away Monday, September 7, 2015.
Dakota was born February 13, 1993 in Blackfoot, Idaho to Justin Blaser Oleson and Christie Ann Johnson.  He spent his lifetime in the Blackfoot area, attending elementary school in Wapello and graduating from Blackfoot High School.
He was a wrestler and competed in the Western Regional Freestyle Tournament. He was active in 4-H and FFA, he enjoyed shooting and hunting and loved rodeo. After riding broncs in high school he continued to compete in college, then on to local rodeos in the stock saddle bronc competitions, including the Intermountain Pro Rodeo Association finals and team brandings. 
Dakota was a cowboy.  He loved riding broncs, training horses, roping anything he could, and spending time with his family and good friends.
Dakota is survived by his parents, Justin and Christie Oleson of Blackfoot; daughter, Paisley Sue; sister, Cheyenne; brothers, Wyatt, Riggin and Ruge,r all of Blackfoot; grandparents, Keith and Lauralee Johnson of Shelley, George and Debbie Oleson of Blackfoot and Steve and Ann Blaser of Blackfoot; great- grandmothers, Barbara Johnson and Marlene Reid, both of Firth and Rosemary Poulson Blaser of Blackfoot, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other family members and numerous friends. 
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling Avenue in Blackfoot.  The family will meet with friends and relatives from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, September 18, 2015 and for one hour prior to services at the funeral home. A college rodeo scholarship fund in his memory is being set up at the Bank of Commerce for donations.   Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.hawkerfuneralhome.com
