Dan Wayne Henman, 57, of Las Vegas, NV and formerly of Blackfoot, Idaho, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2017 in Korea from an apparent heart attack
Dan was born Sept. 2, 1959 in Rexburg to Donald Henman and Doris Putnam Henman. He attended school in Blackfoot and graduated from Blackfoot High School. While in high school, Dan traveled to different states with the church choir for competitions. Following graduation, he attended trade school and became a journeyman electrician.
He married Carolyn. To this union a son Eathain was born. They later divorced. On Sept. 19, 2000, he married Natalia Shimanovich in Minsk, Belarus, Russia. They made their home in Las Vegas.
Although he was a resident of Las Vegas, Dan was continually traveling to many countries working as an electrician for the United States government and the United States military. As an electrician, Dan has worked mainly in construction outside the United States.
Dan loved sightseeing and seeing the different cultures in all the many countries he has worked in.
Dan is survived by his wife, Natalia Henman of Las Vegas; his son, Eathain Duwe of Georgia; one brother, Dale (Judy) Henman of Tennessee, and one sister, Debbie (Larry) Russell of Basalt, Idaho.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 6 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave., Blackfoot. The family will greet friends and family from 2-4 p.m. Sunday and again for one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.hawkerfuneralhome.com.
