Deanne LaRue (Yancey) Driscoll Obituary
Deanne LaRue Yancey Driscoll, 73, of Blackfoot, ID, died peacefully at her home on January 20, 2017. She was born February 16, 1943, in Richmond, California, to Judson and Marion Greaves Yancey. She married her sweetheart, John Wayne Driscoll, on June 14, 1963, in Blackfoot, ID, and they were sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple on October 6, 1964.  They were happily married for 53 years. 
Besides her husband, John, she is survived by her three daughters, Suzanne (Gary) Peck, Chubbuck, ID, Debra (Maurice) Ronneburg, Pocatello, ID, Charlotte (Brian) Turecek, San Jose, CA, and one son David Driscoll, Blackfoot ID; her sister Sharon (James) Turpin, Thomas, ID, and brother, Gerald 'Skip' (LuDean) Yancey, Rose, ID; nine grandchildren, Justin Lumpkin, Joshua (Katrina) Ronneburg, Zaine Driscoll, Jonathan Ronneburg, Aaron Ronneburg, Alexandra Ronneburg (Alex) Karn, Sarah Turecek, Brayden Peck, and Sean Turecek; and three great grandchildren Logan Ronneburg, Addyson Karn, and Keegan Karn; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, mother and a daughter Becky Lynn Driscoll. 
Deanne was a long-time resident of Blackfoot where she lived since her early childhood. She attended Blackfoot High School, and transferred to Firth High School her senior year where she graduated in 1960. After high school, she attended beauty school, and enjoyed her work as a cosmetologist. Later, she opened her own pre-school and home day care. She adored working with children. Of all her jobs her greatest joy was being a wife and mother. She was focused on supporting her children in their numerous activities. Deanne was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in various positions in Primary, Sunday School, and Relief Society. She always supported her husband in his church work, and even in her last days, encouraged him to fulfill his callings.
In her early years as a Navy wife, she lived in various locations including Newport News, VA; Charlton, SC; and New London, CT. She loved traveling with her husband to visit family in North Carolina and especially enjoyed a trip to New Zealand with him in 1988.
Deanne treasured spending time with friends and family, and she cherished the times her grandchildren visited. She spent many hours at her computer researching her family history and working on her genealogy. She loved sharing the life stories of her ancestors.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. at the LDS 6th Ward Meetinghouse on 660 Teton Road, Blackfoot, ID. The family will greet friends prior to the services at 9:30 a.m. Bishop Jon Clapp will be conducting. The burial will be at the Groveland Cemetery directly following the services.
