Delores DalSoglio Staley Obituary
Delores DalSoglio Staley passed away on May 12, 2016, in Boise, Idaho at the age of 88. Delores was born in Rupert, Idaho on March 23, 1928, to Attalio and Violet Leone DalSoglio. Delores' Mother passed away a week after she was born. She went to live on a farm in Rupert with her Aunt and Uncle Anna and Ermette DalSoglio and their children Hugo, Richard, and Olga, whom she considered her brothers and sister. After Delores graduated from Rupert High School, she went to Denver to nursing school. When she graduated from nursing school, she moved back to Rupert and went to work at the Burley hospital. It was there she met Carl Staley. They dated for two months and were married on April 28, 1950. They moved to Blackfoot where Carl began working at Bingham Memorial Hospital. They had three children, Kristel, Jeff, and Anne. In 1968, Delores went to work at Bingham Memorial Hospital as a surgical nurse and retired in 1991. After retirement, Delores served on the Board of Directors and also volunteered for many years at Bingham Memorial Hospital.
Delores was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Delores is survived by her children, Kristel Katseanes, San Antonio, Texas; Jeff Staley, Boise; Anne (Carl) Hays, Boise; five grandchildren, Adam Katseanes, Camille Staley, Amanda Staley, Laura Conilogue, Alex Conilogue; and three great-grandchildren, Colton, Cyrus, and Lilianna. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Carl, and her brothers and sister.
We would like to thank the caregivers of Emerson House and Signature Hospice for the love and care they gave Delores.
Funeral will be by cremation and a celebration of her life will be arranged at a later time.
Donations in the memory of Delores can be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 72 N. Shilling Avenue, Blackfoot, ID 83221, or to the Bingham Health Care Foundation, in care of Linda Valentine at 98 Poplar Street, Blackfoot, ID 83221.
