Dennis George Hill of Blackfoot passed away on Monday, Aug. 28, 2017 at the age of 69. He was born on November 13, 1947 in Richmond, Utah the fourth child to Albert Francis Hill and Melna Nelson Hill.
Dennie spent his childhood working on the family farm in Richmond. During high school, he was a great basketball player and his teammates lovingly referred to him as "Hoot." He graduated from Skyview High School in 1966.
He attended Utah State University before he married his high school sweetheart, Kristine Seamons on Sept. 19, 1968 in the Logan LDS Temple. They lived in Richmond for a time before they moved to Idaho in 1971 to further his career as a cattleman and rancher.
In 1973, he bought a small farm in Blackfoot where he raised his family and built his business.
Dennie was an avid horseman and loved his race horses.
His horses won a lot of big races over the years but none of them brought him more joy than when he won the All-American Futurity in 2002. He loved a good steak, a good card game, and watching his beloved Utah Jazz.
He loved people and was a friend to everyone he met.
Dennie was a fantastic husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He loved spending time with family and always set a good example of honesty, hard work, and love. He was very proud of his wife, kids and grandchildren and will be sorely missed by all.
