Doreen Elizabeth (Thomas) Howard Obituary
Doreen Elizabeth (Thomas) Howard, stalwart wife, mother, daughter, sister and grandmother passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Thursday, February 12, 2015, at the EIRMC hospital in Idaho Falls, Idaho at the age of 63.
Born to Dorothy J. and L. Alfred (Al) Thomas in Berkeley, California on November 13, 1951, she was the youngest girl of six children. She was an exceptionally kind and generous person who was always found serving others and giving of herself. 
She married D. David Howard on January 4, 1974 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They had three children, Doug, Sean (Kathryn), and Scott. They have a posterity of 8 grandchildren, Kassidy, Dillan, Kyle, Grayson, Brynley, Andrew, Colton and Dallin, all of whom love and adore their grandmother. One of her greatest joys was seeing the blessing of the gospel come into the lives of her children and grandchildren. 
She is survived by her husband D. David Howard, of Groveland; her sons, Doug Howard, of Herriman, Utah; Sean (Kathryn) Howard, of Nampa; and Scott Howard, of Herriman, Utah; her eight grandchildren; her parents, Dorothy and Al Thomas; sisters Gail DeLaRosa, Janice Rath and Jeanne Nelson and brother Ron Thomas.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Brian Thomas. 
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 21, 2015, at the Blackfoot Stake Center, 1650 Highland Dr., Blackfoot, Idaho. A viewing will be held the night before on Friday, February 20, from 6-8 p.m. at the Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling Ave., Blackfoot, Idaho and again one hour prior to the services on Saturday. Interment will follow in the Groveland Cemetery.  Condolences may be sent to [email protected]
The family expresses thanks to their nurses, doctors and family members and friends who so lovingly assisted them this past few weeks.  In lieu of flowers donations may be given to the Perpetual Education Fund, Missionary Fund, or the Humanitarian Fund of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints or the .
