Dorothy Doss Obituary
Dorothy Doss, 66, of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Bingham Memorial Hospital.
She was born September 27, 1949 in Blackfoot, Idaho the daughter of Ville Bob Robinson and Norma Lewis Robinson.
She attended school through the 9th grade.  
In 1965, she married Richard Wayne Doss in Blackfoot, Idaho. He preceded her in death on November 30, 1997.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Dorothy enjoyed making silk flowers, wedding bouquets and funeral flowers, crocheting, cooking, spending time with children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, camping, fishing. She enjoyed family get togethers. She had a green thumb and plants just seemed to thrive around her. She enjoyed playing Bingo at the Senior Citizen's Center.
Dorothy helped raise her grandchildren, Richard & Aireanne Moore, Lucas & Jordon Doss, Tatanisha Swenson and she had a hand in the many children related and not related lives. She was well known as Grandma Dot to many young people that live in Blackfoot.
She is survived by her children, Rickey Robert Junior (Otis) Robinson of Fort Hall, Idaho, Princess Lynette Marie Moore of Blackfoot, Idaho, Shane Bob (Tammi) Doss of Fort Hall, Idaho and Nickey Jean (Isreal) Swenson of Blackfoot, Idaho; brother, Raymond Bob Robinson of Blackfoot, Idaho; sisters, Margaret Ann Ritter, Barbara Sue (Val Dean) Nielsen, and Princess Beth (Terry) Walters all of Blackfoot, Idaho and Karen Heaton Sherwood (sister/bet friend) of Menan, Idaho; seven grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents,Villie and Norma Robinson, husband, Richard Wayne Doss, granddaughter, Aireanne Moore and two great grandchildren, Seth Wayne and Quincey Chandler Sorensen.
Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, and Friend you are deeply loved and will truly be missed.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave., Blackfoot, Idaho.
The family will meet friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2016 prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Hawker Funeral Home to help with the expenses of the services.
