Earl Forrest Cullimore Obituary
Captain Earl Forrest Cullimore, 92, of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Bingham Memorial Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Blackfoot.
He was born September 20, 1923 in Lindon, Utah the son of Vernon Alfred Cullimore and Cumorah Agnes Smith Cullimore.
Earl attended grade school in Provo, Utah, junior high and high school in Pleasant Grove, Utah and one year at Brigham Young University in Provo.
Earl was a Captain, pilot of a B-17 Bomber, known as "The Silver Dollar" in the 418 Squadron, 100 Bomb Group and successfully completed 21 bombing missions over Germany.
He married Dott Mitchell on July 3, 1944 in the Logan LDS Temple. To this union were born four children, two boys, Michael and Hal, and two girls, Cindy Lee and Joan.
Earl was an Elder in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he served as a home teacher and was very involved in the scouting program. He started the scouting program in American Fork, Utah.
Earl was the assistant manager of Harmons Super Market in Salt Lake City where he did radio commercials and was widely known as the "Voice of Harmons." He also had a beautiful singing voice and sang with the church choir. He earned many awards as top salesman at Sportsman's Warehouse in Midvale, Utah.
Earl married Billie Dreier in Murray, Utah in 1994.  
Earl is survived by his wife, Billie of Blackfoot; son, Michael (Carolyn) Cullimore of Etna, Wyoming; sister, Saundra Cullimore of Pleasant Grove, Utah; step sons, Bradley (Marti) Bakelar of Reno, Nevada, Tracey (Shellie) Bakelar of South Jordan, Utah and Mark Ebban (Chip) Aston of Salt Lake City, Utah; step daughters, Shelley (Jim) Jacobs of Sitka, Alaska and Sheila (Rick) Trolson of Kearns, Utah; 21 step grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Dott; his son, Hal Mitchell Cullimore; and two daughters, Cindy Lee Allen and Joan Heath; step son, Micheal Atkinson; sister, Janielle Wheelright; and brother, Steven Cullimore.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 S 300 E in Pleasant Grove, Utah. The family will meet with friends and relatives from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, February 21, 2016 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling Avenue in Blackfoot and for one hour prior to services at the Olpin Family Mortuary on Tuesday. Interment will follow at the American Fork Utah Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family online at hawkerfuneralhome.com.
