Edyth Pauline (Zorn) Nelson Obituary
Edyth Pauline Zorn Nelson, 89, Blackfoot, Idaho passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at her home in Blackfoot. She was born Feb. 2, 1928 in Soldier Summit, Utah to George and Mary Marcelette Zorn. She was raised in Spring Glen, Utah and attended high school in Helper, Utah. 
On July 20, 1946, she married Lynn J Nelson in Price, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. In 1951, they moved to Blackfoot, Idaho where they have resided since that time.
After high school, Edyth worked as a telephone operator. After moving to Blackfoot, she worked as a cosmetologist and later as a clerk for J. C. Penny. Her most important vocation was as a mother, a homemaker and a grandmother. 
Her hobbies included crocheting and embroidery. Each of her grandchildren has a hand-crocheted afghan that she made especially for them. Her family includes six children, 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her children Lynn Roy (Pamela) Nelson of Coeur d'Alene; Michael Lee Nelson of Idaho Falls, Kenneth George (Paula) Nelson of Allen, Texas; Daniel E (Mary) Nelson and Jeanette Horrocks both of Blackfoot. She is also survived by a sister Doris Pappas of San Bernardino, Calif. and a brother Delbert Zorn of Green River, Wyo. 
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lynn J. Nelson, her daughter Denise Herbst, a grandson Jeremiah Horrocks and sisters, Delma Dougherty and Irene Perry and brothers Clyde Zorn and Ed Zorn. 
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Aug. 28 at the Wapello LDS Chapel with Bishop Adam Wray presiding.  The family will meet with friends one hour prior to the service at the Wapello church.
