Florence Anne (Roberts-Williams) Curtis Obituary
Florence Anne (Roberts-Williams) Curtis, 79, of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away Sunday, July 23, 2017 at Tambree Meadows Assisted Living in Idaho Falls.
She was born April 13, 1938 in Blackfoot, Idaho the daughter of Millard William Roberts and Ardell Lydia Evans Roberts.
She graduated from Blackfoot High School and later graduated from Kinman Business College in Spokane, Wash.
She met Floyd Curtis in High School while working as a car hop for The Barrel. On July 31, 1956, she married Floyd in Blackfoot. They had four children, Jeri Lynn (Brad) Carlson, Brenda LeNai (Roger) Pixler, Todd Douglas (Vernice) Curtis and Leona Dannell (Daryl) Wornek.
Florence started her first employment as a telephone operator, executive Secretary at First Security Bank. She was the Assistant Personnel Manager for American Potato and worked as a clerk in customer service in her later jobs.
She enjoyed playing softball in her younger years, toll painting, gardening, water skiing, picking huckleberries in the mountains and especially loved watching her grandchildren play sports.
Florence is survived by her husband, Floyd, four children, sister, Justine Lent, brother, Lyle Williams, sisters-in-law, Beverly Williams and NeAnn Curtis, brother-in-law, James Curtis, numerous nieces and nephews and cousins, 17 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Ray and Kenneth Williams, sister, Frances Nelson and one great-grandchild, Jacob Mortensen.
The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, July 28 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave., Blackfoot.
The family will meet with friends for one hour prior to the service.
