Helen Hammond Buonocore Obituary
Helen Hammond Buonocore passed away from Liver Failure on August 13, 2017 surrounded by her family and loved ones. Helen was born in Blackfoot, Idaho on June 9, 1950, the daughter of Norman and Velma Hammond (both deceased).
Siblings are Norman Ross Hammond (deceased), LaRay Barbre (Kay), Russell Hammond (Linnea), Delores Pack (Doug), and Robert Hammond (Stephanie). She is survived by her children Stefany Nielsen (Josh), Emily Rose Hudson (Justin), Amanda Day (Ian), Sarah Jones (George) Scott Buonocore, and 9 grandchildren.
Helen graduated from Bountiful High School in 1968. She was a radiology transcriptionist for 30 years.
She was a happy, positive, gracious person who loved everyone and was loved in return by her coworkers, friends, and especially family.
She was an active member of the LDS Church and held many callings throughout her life. She was a transcriber for the Stake Patriarch for 11 years. Her last calling was as ordinance worker in the Jordon River Temple, which she loved.
Helen fought a courageous battle with liver failure for four years. She and her family would like to thank everyone who helped with her medical care in any way and for their kindness, gentleness, and love.
Her funeral will be Saturday, August 19 at 11 a.m. at the Centennial Ward Building, 3375 Merry Lane in West Valley, Utah. There will be a gathering for friends and family from 10-10:45 in the Relief Society Room. In lieu of flowers, please consider the needs of the family.
