Jeffery "Mark" Evans Obituary
Jeffery "Mark" Evans, 53, of Blackfoot, Idaho, passed away March 22, 2017 in Blackfoot, Idaho.
Mark was born on August 26, 1963 in Blackfoot, Idaho to Jeffery Wayne and Nelda Porter Evans.
Mark graduated from Blackfoot High School in 1981, then graduated from Idaho State University Technical College.
He married Christel Marie Jensen on August 27, 2004 in Clifton, Idaho. Together they have one daughter, Kiera Marie Evans.
As a draftsman, Mark worked in various places including Basic American Foods, Alpha Engineering in Pocatello, Monsanto, and the INEL.
Mark was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving as a Scout Leader, Young Men's President, and 2nd Counselor in the Bishopric.
He was active in the Boy Scouts of America, and was currently the president of the Blackfoot Community Players Board.
Mark was heavily involved with the community theater and The Grand Stands of Terror.
Mark enjoyed computers and electronics, the community theater, and spending time outdoors. He was always willing to serve others.
Mark is survived by his wife, Christel Evans; daughter, Kiera Marie Evans of Blackfoot, Idaho; mother, Nelda Porter Morgan of Shelley, ID; father, Jeffery Wayne Evans of Blackfoot, brothers, Travis (Sheila) Evans of Blackfoot, Idaho, Lance (Tami) Evans of Medical Lake, Washington, Daniel (Trisha) Evans of Spokane Valley, Washington; and sister, Pam (Hal) Silzly of Blackfoot, Idaho.
He is preceded in death by his step father Sheral Morgan.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 25, 2017, at 11 a.m. at the Blackfoot East Stake Center on 1289 Mt Putnam Dr. with Bishop Lee Griffin of the Blackfoot 10th Ward conducting. A viewing will be held on Friday, March 24, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at the same location, and again on Saturday for one hour prior to the services.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made towards funeral costs at the Westmark Credit Union.
Interment will be in the Riverside-Thomas Cemetery under the direction of the Hawker Funeral Home.
