Jerrold L. Farley Obituary
Jerrold L. Farley, 75, of Blackfoot, passed away Monday, Aug. 1, 2016 at Bingham Memorial Hospital.
Jarrold was born Sept. 14, 1940 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Donald Farley and Martha Wilkinson. He spent his youth and attended schools in the Salt Lake area.
On March 25, 1996 Jerrold married Shelley Marks in Winnemucca, Nevada.
He worked as an operating engineer and had worked for various contractors. Most recently he had worked at the INEL.
He had worked at the American Legion and as a custodian at the Mountainview Middle School in Blackfoot. He was an avid coin collector, enjoyed metal detecting, being outdoors, riding his 4-wheeler, hunting and fishing.
He was a member of the Local Union #3 of the Operating Engineers and the American Legion.
Jerrold was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He is survived by his wife, Shelley of Blackfoot; daughter, Debra (Joel) Crockett of Tremonton, Utah; sons, J.D. Farley of Lockwood, Nevada, Keven (Danny) Farley of Tooele, Utah and Shane Toth of Casper, Wyoming; sister, Bonnie Fuller of Mesa, Arizonia; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He will be missed greatly by his two dogs Sledge and Hammer.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday Aug. 5, 2016 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling Avenue in Blackfoot. The family will meet with friends and relatives for one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Riverside-Thomas Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at: www.hawkerfuneralhome.com.
