Juan L. Suniga Obituary
Juan L. Suniga, 83, of Blackfoot, passed away Friday, June 16, 2017 at the Bingham Memorial Hospital, following a valiant battle with cancer.
Juan was born Nov. 1, 1933 in Del Rio, Texas, to Acencio and Viviana Lugo Suniga.
On April 14, 1956 he married Hazel Nadean Cotterell at St. Bernard's Catholic Church. They made their home in Blackfoot and has resided here since that time. They were married 61 years.
Juan was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He was a truck driver and machine operator for D & D Trucking for 36 years.
Juan enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time and loved spending time with his  family.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel; his children: John (Bobbie) Suniga, Joe Suniga and Vivian (Saul) Bencomo; six grandchildren: John Suniga, Sara Suniga, L.J. Suniga, Nathan Suniga, Ann Bencomo and Ariel Bencomo and two great-grandchildren: Brantley and Spencer Suniga.
A rosary and funeral mass will be held at 5 p.m. Monday, June 19 at St. Bernard's
Catholic Church, 584 W. Sexton, Blackfoot. Interment will follow in Grove City Cemetery.

Juan's family wishes to extend their gratitude to: Dr. Beckett and staff, Dr. Shoal and staff and Bingham Memorial Hospital doctors, nurses and staff for the care they gave to Juan and their family.
