Judith Ann Steffler Hale Obituary
Judith Ann Steffler Hale, 67, of Blackfoot, passed away Thursday, November 9, 2017 at her home, surrounded by her 10 children.
Judi was born July 10, 1950 in Blackfoot, Idaho to Robert Steffler and Alice Lee Jensen Steffler.
Judi attended school in Moreland and graduated from Snake River High School in 1968.
On February 24, 1968 Judi married Don E Hale in Moreland, Idaho. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on September 12, 1969. He preceded her in death in 2010.
She worked as a wife, mother, farmer, substitute teacher, debate judge, truck driver, community volunteer and according to her family, Queen of the World.
Judi was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had more callings than we can list; she truly lived a life of service. She was a member of the Farm Bureau Women's Association, the Planning and Zoning Committee, Republican Precinct Committee, Lavaside Ditch Company, was a 4-H Leader for her children and volunteered often at their schools. Judi was named the Bingham County Farm Bureau Woman of the Year in 2003.
In her free time she enjoyed working out with her sisters and watching her grandchildren. She inherited a love of bowling from her parents and went often with her family. She loved the outdoors, working in the garden, and being on the tractor.  She had mad swathing skills.
Judi is survived by her daughters, Samantha Hale, Hollie (Duane) Smith, Georgia (Russell) Seymour, Rebecca Hale, Jackie (Todd) Bjornberg, Andrea (Chris) Dixon, MaryJo (Jared) Mendenhall, and Jennifer (Nathan) Godfrey; son, Fred (Wendi) Hale; parents, Robert and Alice Steffler; brother, Robert (Lois) Steffler; sisters, Rosalie Steffler, Natalie Steffler, Sharon (Joe) Henrie, and Carolyn (Al) Williams; 39 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Don E. Hale and son, Ezra Durward Hale.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at the Rose 2nd LDS Ward. Family will meet with friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Hawker Funeral Home and for one hour prior to the service at the church.
