Judith Gaye Still Obituary
Judith Gaye Still, our mother, grandma, sister, aunt and friend passed away at her home on February 1, 2015.
For those who had the pleasure of knowing her, they would say she was one of a kind.  Her steadfast nature along with her patience, understanding, and thoughtfulness made her an unforgettable person.  She loved with all her heart her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren they were her most prized possessions.  But her love was so immense that everyone she met she treated as if they were her own.  She treated every one of them with respect and cared about their well-being.  She would remember birthdays, anniversaries, children's names and other little personal things about them.
She truly was the definition of "mom".
She was clever at saying what she wanted to without being direct.  When she spoke her mind she did it in a way that she wasn't giving unwanted advice.  And even in her silence, she said a lot.  Her humor and quick wit was also a part of her charm.
She was born May 13, 1941 in Springfield, Idaho to Clinton Edmund Still and Roma Pearl Wamsley.  She had 5 siblings, Kenneth Burke Still, Myrna Lee Still Devaney, Gerald Kirk Still and twins, John Brent Still, Sr and James Kent Still.  She worked for the Fort Hall B.I.A. for over 42 years.  She knew nearly every native on the rez, old and young.  It was here that she met Bob "Pudgy" Burns.  After a whirlwind romance, they were married in December 1968.  To this marriage a family was made, Bobby (Markie) Burns, James Burn, Rocky Burns and Bobleen (Eldon) Nappo, 12 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Kenneth, Myrna, John, Jim and a great granddaughter, Yukee Yokoyama.
A traditional viewing will be at the Bobby Burns residence on West Truchot Road on Friday, February 6, 2015 from 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. A prayer service will be at Hawker Funeral Home from 6-8:00 p.m. that evening.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 7, 2015 at the Lakeview LDS Chapel.
Interment will be in the Springfield Cemetery.
