Leonard Turman Obituary
Leonard S Turman, longtime Chubbuck area resident passed away peacefully Monday, Aug. 21, 2017 at the Portneuf Medical Center surrounded by loving family.
Leonard was born in Pocatello, the oldest child of Leonard and Louise Turman.
Out of high school he joined the navy and met Maxcine Wheeler the love of his life.
Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple in 1956.
They moved to Blackfoot and raised two children, Michael and Teresa. He lost Maxcine shortly after their 25th wedding anniversary.
In 1983, Leonard was lucky enough to marry the second love of his life, Carla Dee Landon.
This brought five new children into his life, Annette, Jason, Scott, Eric and Shawn. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple in 2014.
After retiring in 1994, he and Carla Dee were able to travel coast to coast including Alaska and Hawaii.
They spent their time enjoying family and friends. Leonard and Carla Dee enjoyed many years with friends they met through the Classy Car Club.
He is survived by his wife Carla Dee, siblings Sharon, Dennis (Pat) and Pat. Children Mike (Dawna) Turman, Teresa (Kevin) Yeates, Annette (Jack) Eastvold, Jason (Jodi) Landon, Scott (Sherrie) Landon, Eric (Toni) Landon, and Shawn (Jaime) Landon.
Leonard was proudly able to boast about 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his first wife Maxcine and his parents, Leonard and Louise Turman.
